Dr. John Paulson
Dr. Justine Zingsheim-Nadeau was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. She completed her undergraduate degree in 2009 at Kalamazoo College, a small liberal arts college and her veterinary education in 2013 at Michigan State University. She completed a 1 year small animal internship at Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners in Grand Rapids, Michigan before officially starting her career at a small animal practice in Michigan. Having always wanted to live in the Pacific Northwest, she and her husband finally moved to the area in 2016, where she began working here at Ridgetop Animal Hospital. Her veterinary interests include orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, and internal medicine. She has 1 child and 2 dogs, a French Bulldog and American Bulldog, at home. In her free time she enjoys running, hiking, and anything outdoors.
Dr. Kathleen Sutten
Dr. Kathleen Sutten grew up on nearby Bainbridge Island and graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles in 2006. After working as a veterinary assistant for a few years, she attended Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, and graduated in 2013. After working in Eastern Washington for a few years, Dr. Sutten moved closer to home and started working at Ridgetop in 2016. Her medical interests include emergency medicine and critical care, ophthalmology, and surgery.
Dr. Sutten’s husband is also a veterinarian in Kingston. They have two (trouble-making) mutts and a daughter. When not working, Dr. Sutten enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, and eating gummy bears.
Dr. Kassandra Kondas
Dr. Kassandra Kondas joined the Ridgetop team in July of 2016. Originally from Canada, she received her veterinary degree from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland before moving to Washington. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, and dermatology.
In her spare time she enjoys traveling, hiking, and exploring the PNW. She shares her home with Leroy, a one-eyed mutt who loves to go kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding.
Dr. Jaclyn Snyder
Jaclyn graduated from University of Glasgow Veterinary School in 2016 and moved to Washington afterwards to join Ridgetop Animal Hospital. She is originally from the Philadelphia area. Her veterinary interests include ultrasonography, soft tissue surgery, dentistry and feline medicine.
Outside of the clinic, Jaclyn enjoys hiking or walking on the beach with her dog Jane, kayaking, traveling and reading at her local coffee shop. She also has a 3-legged cat, Kiwi, who is endlessly searching for her next meal.
Dr. Michelle Burch
Dr. Michelle Burch is from Decatur, Alabama. She completed her undergraduate degree in Zoology in 2006 at Auburn University. She also attended Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduate in 2010. Dr. Burch practiced at the clinic from 2011 to 2013 then relocated to Charleston, South Carolina. She returned to Ridgetop Animal Hospital in 2017. Her areas of interest include surgery, nutrition, and obesity prevention.
In Dr. Burch's spare time, she enjoys spending it with her husband Joe and wrangling her daughter Reagan. She also has 2 dogs, Baxter and Carmen, and 2 cats, Hermione and Eleanor who are enjoying the extra treats provided by a toddler!
Dr. Jake Fulcher
Jake, originally from Heyburn, Idaho, moved to Washington in 2013 to start veterinary school at Washington State University. He graduated four years later in 2017 and moved to the Kitsap Peninsula to join the Ridgetop Animal Hospital team. His veterinary interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, veterinary business management, and behavior.
In his free time, Jake enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest, kayaking, camping, and spending time with family. Jake received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Music degrees in vocal performance, and enjoys singing in choral ensembles and participating in the musical community around the Puget Sound. He also enjoys spending time at home or on the trails with his two dogs, Indy and Ginny.
Dr. Kristen Shearer (Relief Veterinarian)
Dr. Shearer grew up in West Seattle and went to undergrad at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA. She graduated in 2004 with a BA in French language literature. She then went to vet school at WSU's College of Veterinary Medicine in Pullman, WA.
Her special veterinary interests include dentistry, internal medicine, and exotics. She lives with her husband and two rambunctious cats, Ethel and Murray.
She is an avid backpacker, sea kayaker, and skier. Currently she is employed full time across the water in Seattle but she enjoyed Ridgetop so much she comes back to visit and see her clients once a month.
Dr. Emily Pietrowicz graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. She is originally from Grand Rapids, MI and relocated to work at Ridgetop Animal Hospital in May 2018. She enjoys the variety of general practice and supporting the human-animal bond. Her veterinary interests include dermatology, dentistry and surgery.
In her free time she enjoys exploring her new home, stand-up paddle boarding, reading, and hiking. She shares her home with an opinionated hedgehog named Gus
